Hi all, sorry it’s been a while! I started a new job a few weeks ago so most of my time and headspace has been spent on that, but I’ve been itching to get back on here!
Here is how my Hobbii crochet shawl is going:

I probably would have finished it by now but I ran out of yarn. I ordered some more and it has just come. Yay!
I have also received yarn I intend to use to knit socks. I have found a few free patterns that look good,I just have to choose one. So watch this space for an update on that!

Isn’t it gorgeous? And can you tell I like using multicoloured yarn yet? Haha! This beauty is 4 ply in the colouring “Bluebell Mist” by the West Yorkshire Spinners, a great brand I have used before. This one is 75% wool and 25% nylon. I don’t really like using synthetic fibres but I have read it is good to have nylon in your sock yarn to give it that stretch for going over and up your feet and being walked about in. As you can see, this also has the name Zandra Rhodes. Zandra is a really cool fashion designer who has worked with Princess Diana and Freddie Mercury among others. Her career kicked off in the sixties which is my favourite decade. Weird since I was born in the eighties, I know! Looking forward to getting started with this.
I recently uploaded a new Flosstube video to YouTube covering a nine hour stitchathon I did on my three cross stitch WIPs, mainly on Butterfly Kisses. I was inspired by the lovely Jen Lee who does amazing 24-HOUR stitchathons with her mother.
Please watch below, and please do like and subscribe if you like it! I was really proud of what I managed to achieve because I haven’t put many xes in lately due to the new job and other stuff. This has given me motivation and I’ve continued working on these WIPs more.
Unfortunately I haven’t done much painting lately, again due to lack of time and ideas, but I have been out and about taking photos, and I’m beginning to get inspired, so I’ll hopefully have an update on that front soon!
Thanks for reading 🙂
