I’ve made a quick slideshow of the current progress of my main cross stitch project, Butterfly Kisses by Charlotte Bird, charted by Heaven and Earth Designs!
I’m currently on my 9th page. Just 33 more to go! It’s a long hard slog but I started almost a year ago and I’m still enjoying it and that’s what matters.
I’m still working on my 2nd HAED, The Shepherdess by Johann Baptist Hofner, but I’m still on my 2nd page and it’s still just a mass of beige. It’ll be a long time before I have anything discernible to show off with that one!
I’ve started a third HAED for my sins, but this time it’s a mini version and only a third of the size of Butterfly Kisses so it shouldn’t take me as long as the other two. It’s Afternoon Tea by Randal Spangler who is famous in the whimsical art world for his “draglings” which feature in much of his work.
Here is the beautiful artwork:

And here is my stitched rendering of it so far, about 1000 stitches in:

I’m feeling pretty good about my stitching right now, and I’m enjoying my watercolour, which I will do another post about soon!
What have you been working on lately? Any ups and downs to share?
