Granny Square Crochet Cardigan

Here is something I made for myself as a Christmas present last year in the months running up to the day. It’s made up of granny squares and I absolutely love it.

I was inspired after I saw something similar on the Joe Browns online shop and thought “I could make that”. I only learned how to crochet less than a year ago, so just months before I started this, and that was Amigurumi, not granny squares. I then taught myself granny squares using YouTube and my existing knowledge of crocheting. So I’m pretty proud of it.

It took a lot of time to make all the little squares, but the beauty of it was that it was so easy, I could do it while watching TV, films and chatting to friends.

The yarn is mostly wool/alpaca apart from the bright green which is wool/cotton.

It’s wonky, it’s got mistakes but I love it. It’s my technicoloured dreamcoat!

Pattern is from Lovecrafts
